For over ten years, Louisiana-born singer/songwriter Aden Paul has been entertaining audiences with his high-energy brand of original roots rock 'n roll. His masterfully crafted ballads and anthems tell authentic, bittersweet tales of broken promises and drunken debauchery. Aden's music is the story of the everyman, set to a spontaneous soundtrack that draws on over a century of American roots music. What sets him apart, even from other prolific songwriters that have come before him, is the dichotomy between his often dark themes and his exquisite, finely-tuned musical delivery. With a rich, earnest baritone voice, a commanding stage presence, and a band firing on eight cylinders driven by the pulsating kick drum, Aden is a punkabilly bootleg bar troubadour.

As adept as he is at bringing energy to his songs with a full band, he is equally competent tempering his tunes to more intimate spaces and listening rooms as a solo or duo act.

Aden first brought his unique rendition of dark Americana songwriting to the bars and clubs of New Orleans via his band the Rotten Cores. Drawing on American roots music traditions from bluegrass and folk to rockabilly and swing, the Rotten Cores injected these classic forms with a punk rock energy on their debut album Sweet Fellowship in Shame (2012) and follow-up record, Sunset Limited (2015).

In 2017, Aden Paul released his first solo album, Bad Seeds and Precious Stones. 2022 saw the release of The Hive, featuring frequent collaborators Dr. Sick (Squirrel Nut Zippers) and Frank Stewart on fiddle and pedal steel guitar respectively.

He is currently recording his latest album with new material leaning towards the famous Unplugged shows of 90s rock icons like Nirvana and Alice In Chains, albeit through the lens of his previous Southern Gothic songwriting. Aden currently performs regularly in New Orleans and takes the act on the road (in both solo and group formats) from Texas to Florida and up and down the East Coast.
